Brad Mallette is a licensed Alabama, California, & Tennessee Architect, entrepreneur, & musician. He founded AMBL Studios in 2020 as an architecture firm with an emphasis in commercial & residential architecture as well as development, music, & product design. His philosophy is focused on building a culture & place that promotes creativity and the fostering of ideas within four main areas at the core of AMBL Studios: Architecture, Music, Business & Life. Brad is also a LEED Green Associate knowledgeable in green construction and serves on numerous boards including President of the American Institute of Architects’ North Alabama Chapter, Design Chair & Board Member of Athens Main Street, and the Athens Planning Commission.
After receiving his Bachelor’s of Architecture from Mississippi State University, Brad worked in Los Angeles under the distinguished Architect Fellow, Karin Liljegren FAIA, at Omgivning, Inc. He served as the Project Architect for the adaptive reuse, seismic retrofit, & rehabilitation of the MacArthur, a 1920s Los Angeles Cultural-Historic Monument and former Elks Lodge with a century old history as glamorous as Hollywood’s greatest stars.
His time in LA also included collaboration with creative organizations such as London based Punchdrunk and Second Home, and worked on other historic monuments like the Proper Hotel, Sears Landmark Building, and Dodgers Stadium (Dodgers w/ Architect Fellow, Brenda Levin FAIA). When Brad wasn’t working on architecture, he was playing music around town at some of LA’s most popular hot spots for live music.
Brittany Mallette is the Office Administrator at AMBL Studios. After graduating with a BS from Auburn University and a masters from UT-Chattanooga, Brittany was accepted as a Teach For America corps member and moved to California to pursue her role as a pre-k teacher in a community near the downtown area of Los Angeles.
While in LA, Brittany met Brad, and they worked together to build the dream of AMBL. Soon after their wedding in 2019, they were ready for a change. They decided to move to Brittany’s hometown of Athens, Alabama, where they have happily lived and worked for the three past years.
When Brittany isn’t preparing invoices, balancing Quickbooks, and plugging numbers into spreadsheets, she likes to spend time outdoors, travel, and cook the veggies from her garden.
Dominic Sosinski is an Architectural Designer and Project Manager from Kansas City, Kansas. He obtained his Master of Architecture in 2016 from the University of Kansas. Dominic’s work has taken place at Architectural offices located in Chicago, Kansas City, Los Angeles, and now Northern Alabama with projects taking place coast to coast - and even in locations as far flung as South America. His experience ranges from international airports overseas all the way down to single family home renovations.
Before joining AMBL Studios, Dominic also worked at Omgivning in Los Angeles, where he and Brad met and worked together on various projects.
Outside of architecture Dominic spends his time traveling to the world's largest cities and smallest mountain towns in admiration of the design, food, drinks, public transportation, and culture these places have to offer. Most importantly, he’s in search of the best dive bars the world has to offer.
Addison Riggins is an Athens native, a Nashville local, and a 2018 graduate of UAH. Addison first got his feet wet in the construction world when he started sweeping floors as a kid at his grandfather's cabinet shop that was located off the square in downtown Athens. What started as a kid helping out his grandpa turned into cabinet deliveries and installations and eventually drawing and fabrication.
His work can be seen all across North Alabama in places such as the Limestone County Courthouse, Athens City Hall, The Westin/Elements Huntsville, Cooks Museum, and Radiance Technologies. In 2021, he ended his days at the cabinet shop as the Operations Manager with more than 10 years of experience. Addison brings his woodworking skills and knowledge of all things construction to AMBL Studios.
Along with woodworking, Addison also enjoys legos, reading, and like the rest of us at AMBL, a good taste of tequila.
