Mitch Grainger, a Los Angeles singer-songwriter and musician, approached AMBL about an idea he had to create a device that would allow a musician to play the harmonica without cupping their hands around the instrument, which is typically needed to create the optimal sound of the instrument. This would allow a single musician to simultaneously play guitar and produce a quality harmonica sound while performing. Working together, we designed multiple 3D models of various components for the device that can be easily 3D printed or machine milled.
